My children have been going to Camp Hillcroft since they were in 1st grade. This year they will be returning as 6th and 8th graders, and are JUST as excited as they were the first time they went. As a parent, I couldn’t be any happier. My kids have very different personalities (one is shy, one is very outgoing) and they both come home each day happy, engaged and exhausted:) From swimming and crafts, to farming and zip lining, Hillcroft has it all! Most importantly, it is extremely well run, and I have the utmost confidence in their safety and well-being while there.
Supervised instructional swim and free swim are scheduled daily in our three pools. Under the leadership of certified life guards and experienced teachers, swim instruction follows American Red Cross guidelines, with small-group attention.
Safety is a major concern at our pools. Through the Health Department accreditation process we have addressed such issues as qualifications of the area supervisor and lifeguards, lookouts, a buddy system, supervision ratios, safety regulations, and emergency procedures. There are 7 Red Cross Swimming Levels. Here is a list of requirements to pass each level.
